Between 2003 and 2007 the National Examinations Centre (Centre) cooperated with the Committee for Assessing and Providing Quality in Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education as well as Organisations for Adult Education; the Committee was appointed by the Minister of Education.

In the periods 2004/05 and 2006/07 the Centre carried out the project of assessing and providing quality support for the activities of the afore-mentioned Committee as well as some independent activities of the Centre. The project relates to the broadening of systems providing quality in education and stems from the guidelines of the Single Programming Document 2004–2006 in the Measure 2.3 whereby it puts special emphasis on the role of self-evaluation.
