Preizkusi znanja za osebe z mednarodno zaščito
Državni izpitni center je v skladu z Uredbo o načinih in pogojih za zagotavljanje pravic osebam s priznano mednarodno zaščito (Uradni list, št. 173/2021, z dne 4. 11. 2021) zadolžen za izdajo potrdil o opravljenem preizkusu znanja za kandidate z mednarodno zaščito, ki formalne izobrazbe ne morejo dokazati z dokumenti in se želijo vpisati v prvi letnik programov višjega strokovnega izobraževanja in v visokošolske študijske programe.
Uredba o načinih in pogojih za zagotavljanje pravic osebam z mednarodno zaščito
Preizkus znanja obsega dva izpita:
- pisno preverjanje znanja iz matematike ter
- pisno in ustno preverjanje znanja iz angleškega jezika.
Preizkusi znanja se izvajajo v angleškem ali v slovenskem jeziku: izpit iz matematike se izvaja v angleščini ali slovenščini, izpit iz angleščine pa samo v angleščini (z možnostjo, da kandidat izbere naslovnice izpitnih pol v angleščini ali v slovenščini), v skladu s katalogom znanja za izpit iz posameznega predmeta.
Katalog znanja se uporablja od februarskega izpitnega roka 2022, dokler ni določen novi.

Preizkus znanja se v skladu s koledarjem, ki ga objavi Državni izpitni center vsako leto junija za naslednje šolsko leto, izvaja v februarskem in junijskem izpitnem roku.
Koledar preizkusov znanja za osebe z mednarodno zaščito v letu 2024
Kandidat se k opravljanju preizkusa znanja prijavi na Državni izpitni center, kamor vloži prijavni obrazec, ki je sestavni del Uredbe o načinih in pogojih za zagotavljanje pravic osebam s priznano mednarodno zaščito (priloga 10 - Prijavnica za preizkus znanja). Kandidata, ki je prijavo pravočasno in pravilno izpolnil, Državni izpitni center najpozneje 14 dni pred opravljanjem preizkusa znanja pisno obvesti o času in kraju opravljanja preizkusa.
Kandidat lahko s pisno odjavo odstopi od opravljanja preizkusa znanja ali od neopravljenega posameznega izpita najpozneje tri dni pred začetkom izvedbe preizkusa znanja. Če se kandidat prepozno odjavi ali se preizkusa znanja ali izpita iz posameznega predmeta ne udeleži, pomeni, da preizkusa znanja ali izpita iz posameznega predmeta ni opravil.
Kandidat opravlja preizkus znanja v skladu s Pravili o izvedbi preizkusa znanja za osebe z mednarodno zaščito, kjer je opisan potek preizkusa znanja: od prijave, izpitnega reda do seznanitve kandidata z rezultatom preizkusa.
Pravila o izvedbi preizkusa znanja za osebe z mednarodno zaščito
Kandidat lahko dvakrat opravlja preizkus znanja brezplačno, vsakič z možnostjo popravljanja enega izpita, ki ga ni opravil. Stroške vseh nadaljnjih opravljanj preizkusa znanja plača kandidat sam.
Assessment for persons with international protection
In accordance with the Decree on the methods and conditions for ensuring the rights of persons with international protection (The Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No 173/2021 from 15 November 2021), the National Examinations Centre is responsible for awarding certificates of assessment to those candidates with international protection who are unable to prove their formal education with documents and wish to enrol into Year 1 programmes of higher vocational education and academic courses.
The assessment is made up of two exams:
- a written exam in Mathematics, and
- written and oral exams in English.
The assessment is carried out in either English or Slovene: candidates for the exam in Mathematics can sit the exam in English or in Slovene; the exam in English, however, can be sat in English only (with the possibility of having the ‘Instructions to candidates’ on the front page of each Question Paper either in English or in Slovene); the assessment complies with the Examination Guide for each subject.
The Examination Guide is valid and in force from the February 2022 sitting until a new Guide is made.

There are two sittings per year for the assessment, in February and June; the sittings are determined in the calendar published by the National Examinations Centre each year in June for the following school year.
Candidates apply for the assessment at the National Examinations Centre, where they submit the application form which forms part of the Decree on the methods and conditions for ensuring the rights of persons with international protection (Appendix 10 – Application form for the assessment). Candidates who submit their application form on time and without mistakes will be informed in writing by the National Examinations Centre at the latest two weeks before the assessment about the time and the place of each of the exams.
Candidates can withdraw the application for either the assessment or the exam they failed no later than three days before the day of the exam. If candidates withdraw the application too late or fail to attend either the assessment or just one exam, this means that they failed one or both exams.
The assessment is carried out in accordance with the Exam rules and regulations for the assessment of persons with international protection describing the entire procedure: from the application to examination rules to the notification of results.
Exam rules and regulations for the assessment of persons with international protection
Candidates are entitled to take both exams (i.e., the assessment) free of charge twice, each time with the possibility of resitting the exam that they may have failed. The costs of any further exam retakes will be covered by candidates.
